Contemporary Worship Service

Living Well Singers

At Londonderry United Methodist Church we offer a variety of worship experiences at three times every Sunday, plus Sunday School for all ages.  Professional nursery care is available during all services.  All of our congregations are warm and welcoming, with a time of fellowship with coffee, juice and snacks after each service.

Many people enjoy the comfort, familiarity, and rich heritage of traditional worship.  But if you're looking for a more casual, upbeat worship experience we invite you to join us at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday for the Living Well service from September through May.

For summer worship see the worship times listed in the blue banner at the top

of the page.

Living Well Band Horn SectionThe Living Well service is casual, "come as you are," theme-based worship (Note: the band photos here were at our Easter service - jackets and ties are not the norm!).  Music is drawn from a variety of contemporary sources, including popular Christian recording artists.  We also frequently include contemporary arrangements of the old favorite traditional hymns. We occasionally use secular music related to the theme of the day, and even biblical parodies of classic rock songs.  Music is accompanied by a praise band of guitars, keyboard, bass and drums, and with a horns section added for special services.  With lyrics for all songs projected onto a screen above the band, we can look up and praise God while singing.

Each Living Well service has a central theme that is supported by the music, visuals, and message.  Dramatic readings and film clips are often included. We usually have a series of related themes extending for anywhere from several weeks to an entire summer series.  For example, here are a few of the themes and series from the past:
