Mark your calendar for this very special event.  Wear your usual cycle clothing and bring your motorcycle, bike, skates, Segway or scooter.  Pastor Thom will say a few kind words and then sprinkle our bikes with a prayer! There will be a moment of silence to remember those cyclists we’ve lost in the past year and a chance for everyone to honk their horns and ring their bells in celebration of all types of cycling, and we’re gone.  Please note that this event is meant to be wonderful but BRIEF -- if you are even a little late, you'll miss it!  Regardless of your religious affiliation (or lack thereof) please feel free to join us!

Connecting Neighbors: Preparing for natural disasters and human-caused threats

This newly revised training from the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is designed to equip you to help your church prepare for and assist in a natural disaster or a human-caused tragedy in your own community.  Among the topics will be lessons learned by the Newtown UMC in the wake of the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Chaos and fear can never be eliminated when faced with an overwhelming disaster or an active shooter, but knowing your options, having an emergency action plan and preparing, in advance, for a disaster CAN turn your church into a "Disaster-Ready Congregation" to limit property damage and interrupted operations, as well as save lives!

Mens Breakfast Group!  The men's breakfast group now meets for a light breakfast, fellowship, and study on Wednesday mornings (previously Fridays).  We start at 6:30 a.m. and are finished by 7:45 a.m., but you're welcome to join for any part of that time as your schedule permits.  We usually meet in the fellowship hall but occasionally eat out.
