Traditional Worship Print E-mail

Worship & Junior ChoirsAt Londonderry United Methodist Church we offer a variety of worship experiences at three times every Sunday, plus Sunday School for all ages.  Professional nursery care is available during all services.  All of our congregations are warm and welcoming, with a time of fellowship with coffee, juice and snacks after each service.  We also have midweek services on special occasions, including Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Eve, and Christmas Eve.  Please join us!

Many people enjoy the comfort, familiarity, and rich heritage of traditional worship.  We offer two traditional services every Sunday, at 7:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. from September through May (see worship times in the banner at the top right of this page for the summer schedule).

Both services follow a traditional liturgy with hymns from the Methodist Hymnal and from a supplementary more contemporary hymnal, "The Faith We Sing", accompanied by organ or piano.  In addition, at the later service the Worship Choir offers an anthem every week drawn from traditional and contemporary composers and arrangers.  Musical offerings are also added regularly by the Children's Choir, the Celebration Chimers, the Sacred Dance Choir, and guests.

During the later service, after the children's message all children from age 4 through 3rd grade are invited to move into the fellowship hall for a BibleZone program of lessons, games, crafts, and snacks while the worship service continues.
