Old Home Day 2011 Print E-mail

Every year Londonderry United Methodist Church has an active role in the Londonderry Old Home Days celebration.  For 2011 we participated in several ways:

  • LUMC held its lunch grill, serving Italian sausage, hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches, to raise funds for the Anne-Marie House, which provides transitional housing and other services for homeless families
  • We provided a Baby Changing Station to give parents a clean and convenient place to change diapers
  • Jacobs Ladder Learning Center provided activities for preschool children
  • We had a bounce house provided by the Summers family which raised additional funds for the Anne Marie House
  • The Orchard Fellowship Church served a free breakfast in the LUMC parking lot
  • The PVC Pirates FIRST robotics team conducted demonstrations of their robots in our parking lot.

We raised approximately $1,200 from our activities and St Jude Parish Community generously donated an additional $1,000 for a total of $2,200 for the Anne-Marie House.
